We All Have Scars 2025

We All Have Scars was an idea founded in 2023 by 17-year-old Dara (DJ) Winchester, helped brought to life by her Parents, Derek and Larissa Winchester, along with her community and Northern Spy Golf Course. 

 When DJ was nine years old, she sustained horrific 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her legs and torso. After 16 hours, two ambulance rides, and three hospitals, she landed at Shriners Children’s Hospital. Shriners Children's is a network of pediatric non-profit medical facilities across North America. Shriners Children's specializes in orthopedic, spine, burn, and rehabilitative care. They have provided hope and healing to children for over 100 years. Shriners Children’s Hospital is committed to excellence in pediatric care, and their compassionate doctors and care teams are a testament to that.  

            While receiving care at Shriners Children's Hospital Boston, DJ was inspired by the caring and devoted staff and the other patients who suffered similar and some worse injuries than herself. It inspired her to create her Platform Scars to Your Beautiful, which she advocates for whilst competing in pageantry, showing girls that your scars do not define you.  

         DJ’s story and many others inspire us all and show us the importance of facilities like Shriners Children's Hospital that can provide necessary care and support for children in need. This is why all of the profits from this tournament will be donated to Shriners Children’s Hospital Boston.
